LaughAbility! is a fundraiser for DASC featuring comedians with disabilities. Proceeds support programs for persons with intellectual disabilities.

 

For nearly 60 years, Dartmouth Adult Services Centre (DASC) has been a place of opportunity, growth, and community connection for adults with intellectual disabilities. Located at 59 Dorey Avenue in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, DASC is a not-for-profit organization and social enterprise that blends person-centered programs with meaningful work and community engagement.

Each year, almost 200 participants come through our doors to take part in programs that build independence, develop skills, and support overall wellbeing. Our services are designed to meet people where they’re at and help them thrive, whether they are learning daily living skills, exploring recreation and wellness activities, or working toward personal goals.

DASC is also one of Nova Scotia’s longest-standing social enterprises. Our modern business centre offers boardroom rentals, custom button production, and a wide range of contract services including packaging, assembly, mailing, and labelling. These partnerships not only provide meaningful work opportunities for participants — they also generate revenue that directly supports our programs.
